Heideman named AD3I baseball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University senior catcher Alex Heideman (Lincoln, Neb.) is this week's Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Heideman batted .467 for the week with five doubles, one HR, seven RBI and a trio of stolen bases as NWU went 2-3 on the week. He had a slugging percentage of 1.000 and an on-base percentage of .636. In his 22 plate appearances, Heideman reached base 14 times. He had a hit in all five games on the week, with a double and RBI in four of five games. Heideman leads NWU in every offensive category this season, including twice as many RBI as any other NWU player.
