McKenna named AD3I baseball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (N.Y.) sophomore shortstop Thomas McKenna (Bellerose, N.Y.) is this week's Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. McKenna was the Bears leading hitter over a three-game stretch batting .429 (3-for-7) with an RBI, run scored, two stolen bases and three walks. The shortstop's best game of the week came in the nightcap of a doubleheader at Centenary where he went 2-for-3 with a stolen base. McKenna has reached base safely in 13 straight games and currently leads the team with a .386 batting average and .441 on base percentage.
