Douglas named Association of Division III Independents Baseball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – SUNY Canton senior Seth Douglas (Reedsburg, Wis.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents baseball Player of the Week. Douglas hit .556 (5-for-9) with two home runs, three runs, a double, and drove in seven runs in a 2-0 week for the Roos. He opened the week going 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI. He also pitched two innings giving up just two hits and no earned runs with four strikeouts. In SUNY Canton's season finale he finished 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and drove in five runs. He finishes the season with nine home runs and 39 RBI. His nine home runs breaks his own single-season home run record that he set last season when he hit eight. He also owns the career home run record in just three seasons with 20.
