OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior forward David Louison (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Louison continued his strong play this week, averaging a team-high 23.0 points per game on efficient 58.8 percent (20-of-34) shooting along with 9.5 rebounds per game as St. Joseph's went 1-1 during the week. The junior began the week with an 18-point, 8-rebound outing on 8-of-14 (57.1 percent) shooting against Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday. The forward added two assists, two blocks and a steal as the Bears defeated the Patriots, 82-76. The four-time Player of the Week came back the very next day with his best performance of the week, pouring in a game-high 28 points on 12-of-20 (60.0 percent) shooting while securing 11 boards for his eighth double-double on the season.
