OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior forward David Louison (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) has been named the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Louison continued his double-double ways, finishing with three on the week to bring his season total to 16 as St. Joseph's went 3-0 during the week and secured their first HVIAC Tournament championship since 2010. The junior concluded the week averaging 17.7 points, 14.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.7 blocks per game, while shooting 53.5 percent from the floor. The forward started off the week with a 12-point, 13-rebound outing on Senior Night against John Jay College, adding four blocks and three assists. Louison capped off the week with Tournament MVP honors at the HVIAC Tournament as he averaged 21.0 points, 15.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as the Bears defeated the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Vaughn College to claim the title.
