OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University junior forward Travis Giesselmann (Elkhorn, Neb.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Giesselmann poured in a career-high 37 points on 15-20 shooting to lead Nebraska Wesleyan to an overtime victory over Dordt College. His 37 points were the most for a NWU player since the 2001 season. The junior also pulled down nine rebounds with three assists in the win over the Defenders. The forward had 14 points and four rebounds in a road victory over Hastings College, despite missing the majority of the first half with an ankle injury. Giesselmann's average of 25.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the week helped the Prairie Wolves extend their winning streak to four games.
