OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University junior guard Trey Bardsley (Beatrice, Neb.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Bardsley scored a career-high 48 points in Nebraska Wesleyan's win over Northwestern on Saturday. The 48 points was the second highest scoring output ever for a Nebraska Wesleyan player. The junior was 7-of-13 from downtown, 13-of-14 at the charity stripe and 14-of-23 overall from the field and also had five steals, four assists and four rebounds to give the Prairie Wolves their first win over Northwestern in Lincoln since the 1999-2000 season. The guard is now a two-time winner of the award this season and leads the Association with 22.7 points per game.
