OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan senior guard Trey Bardsley (Beatrice, Neb.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. Bardsley started his 2015-16 season on a high note, averaging 26.0 points per game as the Prairie Wolves went 1-1 to open up the year. The senior scored a game-high 37 points in a comeback win over Buena Vista on Sunday. The guard scored 29 of his points in the second half, including six straight points with under two minutes to play to give Nebraska Wesleyan the lead. Bardsley went 7-of-10 from downtown and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe and led the team with five assists in the win over last season's IIAC regular season champion.
