OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University senior guard Trey Bardsley (Beatrice, Neb.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week. In two conference road wins, Bardsley averaged 28.0 points and 7.5 assists per game on 53.8 percent shooting from the floor as Nebraska Wesleyan extended their winning streak to five games. The senior went 8-of-17 from downtown, averaged 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals playing all 40 minutes in wins over Concordia and Morningside. Bardsley tallied 26 points against Concordia on Wednesday, assisting on the buzzer-beating shot in the 89-88 win as he finished the night with eight assists. The guard then scored 30 points against Morningside on Saturday while dishing out seven assists and shooting 56.5 percent from the field. Bardsley has now scored 30 or more points six times this year and is a four-time Player of the Week recipient.
