OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Association of Division III Independents named Illinois Institute of Technology men's basketball guard Anthony Mosley Jr., its Male Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of January.
Mosley Jr., a freshman from Chicago, Illinois, earns Student-Athlete of the Month honors for the first time after averaging 24.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game on efficient 49.5 percent shooting. The one-time Player of the Week during the month showed his consistency as he failed to score less than 22 points or shoot below 40 percent in any of the Scarlet Hawks' six games this month. The guard scored a month-high 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting against fellow AD3I member Maranatha Baptist on January 14th, adding six steals and five assists. Mosley Jr. picked up his second Player of the Week accolade this season after scoring 24 points with eight rebounds and eight assists in Illinois Tech's 79-59 victory over Moody Bible on January 26th.
