OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Nebraska Wesleyan University sophomore Jordan Wheeler (Omaha, Neb.) has been chosen as the Association of Division III Independents men's cross country Runner of the Week. Wheeler placed 8th overall in a big field of 333 runners at the Jim Drews Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday. Wheeler helped Nebraska Wesleyan to a 9th place team finish among the 21 competing teams. The sophomore was just 16 seconds behind the winner, finishing behind two NCAA Division I runners, a junior college runner and four NCAA Division III competitors.
