OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Maranatha Baptist University sophomore shortstop Emily Boogher (York, Pa.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week. Boogher led Maranatha with a .714 (10-for-14) batting average at the NCU Dome Tournament and finished with a 1.071 slugging percentage, two doubles, a home run, and four RBIs. The sophomore recorded a hit in all five of the Crusaders games, including a perfect 3-for-3 game with two doubles versus Martin Luther. The shortstop concluded the week going 6-for-9 in a tripleheader on Friday, including a 3-for-4 outing in Maranatha's 10-6 victory over Crown (Minn.).
