Miller receives Association of Division III Independents softball Student-Athlete of the Month award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – SUNY Canton junior Stefanie Miller (Latham, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Student-Athlete of the Month for April. Miller hit .455 (35-for-77) with seven doubles, three home runs, two triples, 23 runs and 28 RBI in the month of April. She finished with a .714 slugging percentage in 23 games on the month as the Roos went 16-10 overall in April. She had 15 multi-hit games in April and finished with at least 2 RBI in eight contests. Her best game of the month came on April 26th when she went 2-for-2 with two walks and two three-run homers with six RBI in a 15-5 win versus Wells. She has also led the team to a new school record with 22 wins and a runner-up finish in the inaugural ACAA Championship. For her performance in the tournament she was named to the All-Tournament Team.
