OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior forward Taylor Raccuglia (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. Raccuglia was the catalyst of a St. Joseph's team that went 1-2 with their lone win of the week coming against perennial Skyline Conference power Mount Saint Mary on Saturday. The junior began her week dropping in a team-high-tying 11 points against Northwestern (Minn.) while also finishing with seven boards as the Lady Bears took part in the Colorado College New Year's Ball. The forward continued her impressive play against Wisconsin-Stout on New Year's Day with her third straight double figure scoring output with 12 points against the Blue Devils. Raccuglia filled out the stat-sheet with seven caroms, five assists and four steals. The junior concluded the week with her third double-double of the season against Mount Saint Mary finishing with 17 points and 10 boards to go along with four helpers and a career-high-tying five rejections. On the week, Raccuglia averaged 13.3 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, 1.7 steals per game and 2.3 blocks per game.
