NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Despite a game-high 42 points from Jasmine Brandon, The College of New Rochelle was unable to top visiting Pine Manor College this afternoon at the Wellness Center on the CNR campus, dropping a 100-88 non-conference decision.

Brandon added a game-high 14 rebounds to her scoring outburst, her second 40+ scoring effort of the season.  Alyssa Pechin added 20 points and five assists, and Holly Cammarota chipped in with 17 points and eight rebounds.

Natasia Frankling paced four Gators in double-figures with 24 points, while Ari DeJesus recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, adding a game-high seven assists and five steals.

The game was a back-and-forth affair for much of the first half, with neither team holding a lead of more than four points, until Pine Manor began to open up a lead.  The Gators led, 31-29, with 5:42 left until the break before a 14-4 run made the score 45-22 with 2:51 left before the break.  Pine Manor held a 46-39 advantage at the half.

The Gators pushed the lead to 15, 58-43, early in the second half before the Blue Angels clawed back to within six, 60-54, following a Pechin three pointer with 13:15 remaining, but did not draw any closer, as the Gators pulled away, leading by double-digits for the final 12 minutes en route to their tenth victory of the season.
