OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Illinois Institute of Technology freshman guard Shannon O'Donnell (Lemont, Ill.) has been selected the Association of Division III Independents women's basketball Player of the Week. O'Donnell had a monster week for the Scarlet Hawks, averaging 30.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game. The freshman opened the week with 34 points, 14 rebounds and six assists on 12-of-23 shooting against St. Mary-Woods on January 4th. The guard capped off the week with 26 points and eight rebounds as Illinois Tech took on fellow AD3I member Maranatha Baptist on Saturday. O'Donnell shot 47.8 percent from the floor and played in all 40 minutes in both contests on the week.
