OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – University of California Santa Cruz senior forward Sarah Sadler (Davis, Calif.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's soccer Player of the Week. Sadler was responsible for UC Santa Cruz's one assist in their game versus Linfield and the two goals scored for the Banana Slugs in their victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps of the SCIAC conference. The senior came through with the game-winning goal to help secure the crucial 2-1 victory against the West region ranked opponent. The goals bring Sadler's total to eight on the year and the forward has also accumulated two assists over the course of UC Santa Cruz's first eight games to help the Banana Slugs begin the season 4-3-1.
