OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Mount Mary University junior forward Emily Ristow (Sheboygan, Wis.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's soccer Player of the Week. Ristow broke out this week, notching all six goals scored by the Blue Angels as Mount Mary went 1-0-1. The junior began the week with a pair of goals on three shots at Lakeland on October 8th in a 2-2 tie. The forward capped off the week with a four-goal outburst versus Finlandia on October 12th that helped lead the Blue Angels to a 4-0 victory. The 2012 Offensive Player of the Year ended the week with 12 points and 11 shots on goal and now ranks second in the Association with 15 goals on the year.
