Taliana receives Association of Division III Independents women’s soccer Student-Athlete of the Month award

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Illinois Institute of Technology freshman forward Julia Taliana (Carlsbad, Calif.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents women's soccer Student-Athlete of the Month for October. The freshman ended the month with 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points as the Scarlet Hawks went 6-2 during the month. Taliana produced a month-high 11 points on four goals and three assists in a win over Rockford on October 5th. The freshman began the month with a goal in four straight games, including game-winning goals against Knox and St. Mary of the Woods. The one-time Player of the Week capped off the month with three goals, including the game winner, against Alverno on October 28th.
