Chiaramonte selected as AD3I softball Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – St. Joseph's College (N.Y.) sophomore pitcher/outfielder Alyson Chiaramonte (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week. Chiaramonte led the Lady Bears to six wins on the week, compiling a 4-0 record in the circle with a 0.88 ERA. She struck out 37 and walked none in 24.0 innings of work, including a one-hit shutout over Sarah Lawrence and a two-hit shutout over Brooklyn College. Chiaramonte also performed at the plate as she paced her team with a .583 average (14-for-24) and a .792 slugging percentage. She added nine RBI and eight runs scored on the week and she is currently on a 17-game hitting streak.
