OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (N.Y.) sophomore catcher/second baseman Danielle Marino (Maspeth, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week. Marino compiled a .625 batting average (10-for-16) with a 1.000 slugging percentage as the Lady Bears went 5-1 on the week. She also collected eight runs, six RBI, five walks, four doubles and two stolen bases. Marino has been the hot hitter over the past two weeks, lifting her average nearly 80 points to a team-leading .472.
