Chiaramonte selected as AD3I softball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (N.Y.) senior pitcher/outfielder Alyson Chiaramonte (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. In four appearances and 24 innings of work, Chiaramonte struck out 29 batters and eclipsed the 600-career strikeout mark en route to a 0.88 ERA on the week. She led the team in batting with a .333 average (4-for-12) and contributed an RBI, a run scored and a triple. Chiaramonte also tossed her eighth shutout of the season in a win over Mount Saint Vincent.
