Marino selected as AD3I softball Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – St. Joseph's College (N.Y.) senior catcher/second baseman Danielle Marino (Maspeth, N.Y.) has been named the Association of Division III Independents softball Player of the Week. Marino went 10-for-12 (.833) at the plate with three doubles, five runs scored and six RBI as St. Joseph's went 3-1 during the week. The catcher/second baseman led the Lady Bears with a 1.083 slugging percentage while also compiling an on base percentage of .813. The senior had her best game of the week in an 8-6 win over Brooklyn College as she went 4-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Marino also gunned down two potential base stealers from behind the plate.
